Gila Monster

The Gila Monster is a species of venomous lizard found in the Southwestern United States and Mexico. They can be up to about 22 inches long. They eat small birds and mammals, eggs, frogs, insects, lizards and carrion. Gila Monsters can live for more than 20 years in zoos, and possibly longer in the wild. If you are interested in studying these creatures more closely in the field of zoology, it is possible to get an online degree in that field.
